LAUNCH NY TEAM CONTINUES TO GROW IN 10TH YEAR, HIRING NEW MARKETING MANAGER IN JUNE

Viaduct Recruitment Yields Candidate with Biotech

and Financial Industry Background

Buffalo, N.Y. – Launch NY, the first and only nonprofit venture development organization that provides the 27 westernmost counties in New York early-stage pro bono mentoring and seed capital access, has hired Buffalo native, Katie Iglewski, as Marketing Manager. Launch NY’s recruitment effort was led by Viaduct, a division of the Aleron Group.

Residing in Buffalo her entire life, Iglewski has over 5 years of Marketing experience in a variety of industries. She served as a Digital Marketing Specialist for the biotechnology innovation group at You First Services, Marketing Manager for Buffalo property management company Glendale Development, and most recently within the financial sector as Marketing Director for Niagara Regional Federal Credit Union.

Iglewski says she is “excited to be a part of the fast-paced and rewarding startup environment here in Buffalo and Upstate New York. From the perspective of a marketing professional, you’re always wishing and hoping that the work you do and the message you’re sharing with an audience are something that you truly believe in, so I’m thrilled to help support Launch NY’s vital mission.”

“Katie’s background is perfect for this role, given the diversity of responsibilities she is managing. In Western New York we still don’t expect to see someone who has not only been in a new economy industry like biotech plus also being part of promoting financial products in a community-focused organization,” said Marnie LaVigne, PhD, President and CEO of Launch NY. “We couldn’t be more pleased that this recruitment was so successful.”

Viaduct, who conducted the recruitment, is a Buffalo-based recruitment firm that builds qualified teams for startups and emerging businesses, finding candidates whose values align with the organization’s mission and culture, which proves to be essential for growth and success. “Startups are gaining more and more traction in the region, because talent is recognizing that startups are not only a viable but desirable way to become a part of the new economy in Western New York. Viaduct is glad to be positioned to bring the talent and the opportunities together,” said Pete Petrella, Managing Director of Viaduct.
