Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI)

Launch NY is proud to be one of the only U.S. Treasury-designated CDFI providing direct venture funding to businesses in New York State.

What does it mean to be a CDFI?

CDFI certification is awarded to organizations that deliver responsible, affordable financial solutions to create economic revitalization in low to moderate income communities. As one of only 17 venture financing CDFIs in the United States, Launch NY has already received two awards from the CDFI Fund that have fueled Launch NY Seed Fund investments Launch NY’s client companies.
