Meet Launch NY’s Investor Network Startups: 3AM Innovations

 

3AM Innovations takes care of our first responders. The CEO, Patrick O’Connor, spent time as a firefighter and experienced trouble with how fire departments track each member on the scene of the fire. The process involves many different people and plastic identification dog tags for each firefighter. With nearly 200 deaths and 9,000 serious injuries in the United States fire service in the last 10 years, Patrick realized it was time to make a change.

3AM Innovations created a system called FLARE: Firefighter Location and Rescue Equipment. This system contains wearable electronics for each firefighter. These electronics are designed to track the firefighter’s location, which decreases the need for the manual, back-and-forth process of dog tags and radio communication. Launch NY loves to support local startups like 3AM who have innovative ideas that can help the community and create a ripple effect.
