August TwitterChat: The Power of Mentoring

Q: What would you tell a founder that is just starting out?

A: Use your resources! Meet with as many mentors as you can, attend workshops and trainings, and most importantly, talk to your customers!!

– RevIthaca (@RevIthaca)

A: Mentors will be the first people to believe in you. They will help you test assumptions. They will give you the tough love you need to iterate, and often pivot. And when you are successful, pay it forward and become a mentor.

– Syracuse LaunchPad (@LaunchPadSYR)

A. Do your research!! I come across a lot of founders who are their own biggest fan and they haven’t done the research necessary to determine if any one else is going to like/buy their product or service. No sales = No business.
