WNY Fund Invests in CaHill Tech and NYS Grants Support
Amid a challenging startup investment landscape, CaHill Tech, a woman-led company specializing in a mobile training tool for the construction industry, has secured a follow-on investment and a state grant. The startup, in the midst of a bridge funding round between seed and Series A, has received a $250,000 bridge round contribution from the Western New York Impact Investment Fund. The fund supports startups making a positive community impact. This follows CaHill’s closure of a $1 million seed round last year. The bridge funds will enhance the software team and boost sales by freeing the founder’s time for events and relationship-building. CaHill also secured a $750,000 state grant to develop aQuiRe Academy, a tool for workforce development, and signed a deal with the state’s Office of Diversity and Opportunity to introduce their flagship training product to various organizations. CaHill aims to increase its users from 5,000 to 20,000 by 2024.
