Launch NY Makes Inaugural Investment from For-Profit Fund II in Diadem Capital

Buffalo-based fintech firm Diadem Capital is set to receive $115,000 in pre-seed investment from Launch NY to support its platform’s growth. This marks the first investment from Launch NY’s for-profit Seed Fund II. Diadem Capital, founded by two Wall Street veterans, will utilize the funds to expand its platform, launch marketing campaigns, and hire a support specialist. The company has already assisted over 1,200 startups in the past 21 months. Diadem Capital connects founders with investors, earning fees only when deals are successfully funded. CEO Stephanie Rieben, formerly of Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, and Berenberg Bank, and COO Joe Hammill, with a background at Citigroup, launched the company in 2022 to streamline fundraising for startups. Diadem Capital plans to close a larger pre-seed round, with Launch NY as the lead investor. This investment is in line with Launch NY’s mission to support under-resourced founders by bringing funding opportunities to their doorstep.
