Buffalo Fintech Platform Receives Investment from Launch NY

Buffalo-based fintech platform Diadem Capital has secured a $115,000 pre-seed investment from Launch NY. This marks the first investment from Launch NY Seed Fund II LP, a for-profit limited partner fund supporting startups in western and upstate New York. Diadem Capital, founded by Wall Street veterans Stephanie Rieben and Joe Hammill in January 2022, connects founders to early-stage funding sources like venture capital. The platform aims to streamline the fundraising process for startup founders, enabling deals to go from pitch to close efficiently. Diadem has facilitated 17 deals, raising $55 million in funding from seed to Series B rounds and attracting more than 1,200 companies seeking its services in the past 21 months. The recent investment will support Diadem in building out its platform, hiring a support specialist, and launching marketing efforts. Additionally, the company is in the process of closing a larger pre-seed round with Launch NY as the lead investor.
