Ashlawn Energy Clinches Top Honors in NYS FuzeHub Commercialization Contest

Ashlawn Energy LLC has secured the top prize of $150,000 in the FuzeHub commercialization competition held during the NYS Innovation Summit. The summit, which featured panels and presentations from nearly 60 speakers, attracted over 500 attendees interested in the future of technology development. In the competition, 12 New York State-based startups pitched their innovative ideas with the aim of securing funding for product development.

A panel of expert judges selected seven projects for awards totaling $450,000, with Ashlawn Energy emerging as the grand prize winner. The other six companies received $50,000 each to further develop their prototypes and bolster their market strategies.

Ashlawn Energy’s winning project centers on rechargeable battery systems that offer a safer and more cost-effective energy solution for communities. These systems charge overnight to minimize energy consumption and supply stored energy during peak demand hours, reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Impressively, these batteries have a lifespan of up to 30 years. This marks Ashlawn Energy’s second year competing in the finals of the competition.
